“Meet the Correspondent & the Manager”- A Hearty Bienvenue to newly designated Correspondent and Manager of the Institute

On the reconstitution of the Governing Council of Canara High School Association, Mangaluru, it has designated new Correspondents and Managers to its Institutions. In light of this, “Meet the Correspondent and Manager” – a formal programme to extend a hearty Bienvenue to the newly designated Correspondent – Sri CA M. Jagannath Kamath and the Manager – Sri K. Shivananda Shenoy was held on Friday, February 25, 2022 at 10:00 AM in the College Seminar Hall. They both were accompanied to the Institute by the Honorary Secretary of Canara High School Association Sri M. Ranganath Kamath.

The Honorary Secretary of Canara High School Association, Sri M. Ranganath Bhat in his address said – “Change is inevitable and progress is impossible without change. We cannot become what we want by remaining what we are. Hence, we need to embrace change and see it as an opportunity for growth. While formally introducing the newly designated Correspondent and Manager of the Institute and in reflection of their special qualities, he assured that they will strive to bring considerable value to their leadership roles. He also urged all the staff members to continue extending them with all the support and cooperation in the smooth administration of the Institution”.

Further, while recognizing the delightful presence of the student leaders in the programme, he lauded their interest, involvement and engagement with the Institution. He said – “At CANARA, the students have always been the centre of our concern; anything and everything that we do is for the greater support and well-being of the student community. Canara Management is therefore, ever committed to ensuring the holistic development of the students, and thus transforming them as well-mannered and responsible individuals of the nation”.

Upon assumption of the charge of the Office of the Correspondent and while speaking on the occasion Sri CA M. Jagannath Kamath said – “Indeed I consider it my great privilege of having bestowed with the noble responsibility of carrying forward the legacy of Canara Institutions in the path laid down by our Founding Father Late Sri Ammembal Subba Rao Pai. As Educational Institutions and also as key stakeholders of the system, we have huge responsibilities of imparting quality education so as to produce skilled, competent, well-educated and good human beings to the society”.

While acknowledging the contributions made by all the worthy predecessors, he shared his vision for the Institution and called upon to collectively strive towards its accomplishment in the days to come. Together with the support all, let us commit ourselves to take our Institution towards greater progress and glory.

Principal Dr. Premalatha V. while congratulating the new Correspondent and the Manager said – “It is indeed a treasured occasion for all of us as the members of the Canara College Family and expressed the words of respectful welcome. As you take the charge of the Office, we look forward to your able stewardship in taking the Institution towards greater heights”. Further, she also introduced the Heads of various Departments.

The Honorary Secretary Sri M. Ranganath Bhat, the Principal and the Student Leaders accorded a warm welcome to the Correspondent and the Manager with a floral bouquet.

Students Ms. Anusha Shet and Ms. Sudheeksha rendered the college prayer. Mrs. Dejamma A., Head, Dept. of Commerce and Management and IQAC Coordinator welcomed the august gathering. Mr. Hardik P. Chauhan, Faculty, Dept. of Commerce and Management and IQAC Coordinator, mastered the programme and also proposed the Vote of Thanks.

Both teaching and non-teaching staff members and the student leaders were present during the occasion. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
