The University Level Workshop on “Zoho Books” organised by the department of Commerce Canara college ,Mangalore in association with Mangalore University Commerce Teachers Association was held on March 7 ,2022 from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm at Seminar Hall.The workshop was attended by students .The resource person of the workshopwas CA AnweshShetty,chief guest Mr K P Narayanan,Director of Zoho Corporation and Prof Manoj Louis,assistant professor Government First Grade College,Kavoor and MUCTA Secretary and Dr Deviprabha ,Associate Professor ,Former HOD,St Agnes College,Mangalore were the guest of honour.The convenor Mrs Rashmiwelcomed the gathering and introduced the dignitaries.
Prof Manoj Louis,MUCTA Secretary oriented the students about the significance of Zoho books in the present digital eraand thechiefguest Mr K P Narayanan gave an insights of digital transformation in accounting.
The resource person started the session by explaining the process of accounting like creating entries of various accounts, sending of invoice ,purchase and sales order ,inventory tracking and preparing the final reports of profit and loss a/c and balance sheet by using the accounting software- zohobooks. This workshop helped to students to acquaint with the practical aspects of various features of Zoho books.The students and faculties from various colleges attended the workshop.The workshop was attended by 150 students. This workshop was coordinated by Mrs. Rashmi, Ms. Shwetha Pai M and Ms. Meghna R H, Faculty, Department of Commerce and Management.
