“Model making” – Show off your inventions and special project, an intra-collegiate event under the theme Imagine- Invent- Inspire was jointly organized by the Science Association & SQAC organized on March 26, 2022 in Room no 26. The event was organized with an idea to enhance innovation and presentation of scientific ideas of the students.
A total of 11 teams participated in the event. Participants exhibited different types of models which were related to different branches of science. Their scientific ideas included :
1. Free Energy Generator
2. Police Taser
3. Automated Street Light
4. Removal of Rust through Electrolysis
5. Illusion Mirror- Based on Ray Optics
6. Social Cause
7. Tesla Coil
8. Lifi- Project
9. Earthquake Alarm- Sesimograph
10. Apiculture and Power Generation from Aquaponics
11. Electricity from Flowing Water
The working model was judged by the panel of judges.
1. Mr. Sanjay Annarao, Assistant Professor in Chemistry, University College, Mangaluru
2. Mrs. Pratheeksha Bhat, Facility Technologist, NITK, Mangaluru
The event concluded with the Valedictory programme at 2:15 PM in the Seminar Hall. Mrs. Dejamma, the IQAC and SQAC Coordinator and faculty advisor for the event gave the presidential remark. She congratulated all the participants for their participation. Dr. Premalatha V Pai, the Principal and Mrs. Dejamma gave away the Certificates and Cash Prizes to the winners.
Ms, Neetha, Student Conveners welcomed and introduced the guest to the gathering. Ms. Mr. Hanuma, Student Conveners announced the winners. Ms. Yuktha C. Karkera, Student Conveners compered the programme and Ms. Saanchya Ponnamma proposed the vote of thanks. The programme concluded with the singing of National Anthem.
