“Preserving a tree is an obligation for everyone without exception; one tree will absorb approximately a ton of carbon dioxide during the course of its life cycle”. The importance of trees in providing shelter, purifying the air, as natural resources, maintaining the ecological balance, preventing soil erosion, as medicines, providing nutrients to the soil etc is well known. The “Class to Field Programme” under the theme “Each One – Plant One – Protect One”, was carried out by 34 students of final BZC on August 03, 2022 under the guidance of Ms. Madhushree, Head of the department, Botany and Mr. Manohara Acharya.
