The Seminar on Change Management –Case study of The Banking sector in India” organized by the department of Commerce and Management, Canara College, Mangalore, was held on July 28,2022 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am .118 students attended the seminar. The resource person of the Seminar was Dr.K.Rajesh Nayak, Director –Training College of Banking &Financial Studies(CBFS)Muscat . The seminar was aimed to spread awareness on recent trends of banking system among the students of B.Com.
The resource person introduced the session by addressing the students about the historical background of Indian Banking System followed by the recent banking practices like Social Banking, Green Banking ,Financial Inclusion etc. The resource person highlighted the various benefits of digital banking for customers . He also discussed the role of banking system, the challenges in securing the right jobs in banking sector ,skill-gaps in India etc.He also explained the importance of Artificial Intelligence in Banking system followed by the use of Bit coins and Crypto currency. He motivated the students to adapt the digitization process as it is the need of the hour, else in future the robotics will start controlling us and there will not be any place for humans in normal banking services.
