A webinar on ‘Investor Awareness’ was organized by the Department of Commerce and Management, Canara College, Mangaluru, as part of World Investor Week, in association with Bombay Stock Exchange. It was held on October 12, 2022 from 2:00pm to 3:30pm on Zoom platform.
Ms. Madhushree S. was the resource person for the webinar. She started the session by highlighting the importance of money, and the relationship between save, spend and invest. She emphasized on the need to have more self-regulated and systematic saving habits to secure one’s financial future. Further, discussing the concept of ‘Investment’, she gave an insight into the differences between savings and investments. She also elaborated on the impact of inflation and the benefits of investing. Through her presentation, she acquainted the students with the various options for achieving one’s financial goals. The concept, importance and different modes of investing in Mutual Fund were also explained to the students. 62 students were benefitted by this webinar.The session was co-ordinated by Anasuya Bhagvath, Faculty, Department of Commerce and Management.• This activity aimed at achieving global competency and quest for excellence.
