In order to enhance the number of young voters in the upcoming legislative assembly and loksabha elections, the electoral literacy cell of our college has taken the initiative to register young voters in the electoral role on December 06,2022. The members and conveners visited each first-year degree batches and requested that the students download form 6 from the voter helpline app and register their names in electoral list. Dr. Ganesh Shetty U, the department head for political science, engaged a brief session on the value of the right to vote in a developing democracy like India. Mrs. Vinutha, who accompanied the students, also explained how to use the app and add their names to the electoral roll. A total of 271 first-year students registered their names as eligible voters on the electoral roll.
