CANFEST 2022, a two day National Level Undergraduate Inter-collegiate Fest encompassing the domains of Commerce & Management, Science & IT was organized on June 6 and 7, 2022 at Canara College, Mangaluru.
Inaugural Ceremony:
Canfest 2022was inaugurated by Dr. Narasimha Pai D, Additional Professor and Consultant Interventional Cardiologist, K.M.C Hospitals, Mangaluru. Mrs.Prathima V, Faculty Convenor welcomed and introduced the chief-guest. The chief guest focused on awareness regarding Social Media, Student Personality Development and spoke on the Importance of Current technology, Self-Discipline and Time Management. He motivated the students to enhance their Communication &Inter-Personal skills and delivered a remarkable address to the participants. Being an alumnus of Canara PU College, he was happy to be a part of the event and went down his memory lane. Dr. Premalatha V, Principal delivered her message and ignited the Organizers and Participating Teams on the occasion. Ranganath Bhat, Honorary Secretary, CHS Association, in his presidential remarks focused upon the importance of such fests which would lead to the overall development of an individual. CA Jaganath Kamath, Correspondent of the College, K Shivanand Shenoy graced the occasion.
Event Details:
“CANFEST” with its theme “Deccan Odessy” was an excellent platform for the participants to showcase their organizational and leadership skills. The fest with multitude of twists and turns had comprised of 6 major events viz., Best Manager, Marketing, Finance, Human Resource, Public Relation and Quiz and witnessed participation from 25 colleges including more than 225 participants. All these events had a fine blend of learning with lot of fun enabling to explore professional and personal excellence of the students. These were judged by eminent professors, professionals, practitioners and by our own alumnus.
Valedictory Ceremony :
Sri K Santhosh Kamath, President, PTA and Alumnus, graced the occasion as a Chief Guest for the Valedictory ceremony and gave away the prizes. Dr Premalatha V, Principal of the College addressed the students and directed them to make use of the platforms like Canfest to enhance their leadership qualities and congratulated the organizers for their dedicated efforts and commitment in making it a successful one.
Winner’s Details :
St. Aloysius College, Mangaluru emerged as overall winners, MAPS College and Mahesh College, Mangaluru were the runners-up of Canfest 2022. Vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Poornima, Department of Mathematics.
