On the appointment of the Administrator to our institute, the onboarding ceremony of Dr. Deepti Nayak was organized to extend a hearty “Bienvenue” as she assumed the charge of the Office of Administrator on May 15, 2023, at 9:00 AM in the College Seminar Hall.
Upon assuming the charge of the Office, Dr. Deepti Nayak, while sharing her thoughts on the occasion, said, “I am truly delighted with the warm welcome extended to me by the institution. It’s a matter of great pleasure and honor to be entrusted with this new role, and it is with much pride, gratification, and submissiveness that I assume the charge of the Administrator of this prestigious institution. While doing so, I affirm to faithfully discharge my duties and responsibilities of my position to the best of my abilities and serve in the best interest of the institution. With the unified efforts of the Honorable Management, staff, students, and all other stakeholders, I join the team of Canara College Family to bring forth the best and continue striving to create a milieu that will enable us to achieve excellence in all our endeavors.”
The Correspondent of the institute, Sri CA M. Jagannath Kamath, in his greeting message while expressing his good wishes, said, “It’s a matter of fortune that you are onboarding to the role of Administrator of this great institute while it is commemorating its Golden Jubilee year. As you do so, you have greater responsibilities ahead of you to shoulder along with the Head of the Institution to raise the bar of institutional excellence in the years to come.” He also called upon the staff to continue working with synergy and in close coordination with utmost dedication and untiring devotion. I, along with the Manager and other members of the Governing Board, congratulate and welcome you to the CANARA Family while assuring you of our unreserved support and wishing you all success in this new phase of service and leadership.
The Honorary Secretary of Canara High School Association, Sri M. Ranganath Bhat, in his presidential address, said, “As the institute completes its five glorious decades of its illustrious existence and continues to march forward on the journey, I look forward to seeing new vigor, enchanting vibrancy, and captivating vistas that will take the institution to newer and greater heights. I am certain that the entire community of the institute will continue to work as a team to attain higher goals of this institution. Moreover, in this dramatically changing world, everything is in a perennial process of redefining and reshaping itself. Educational institutes are also not exempt from these sweeping changes. In the current context, educational institutions and HEIs, in particular, are expected to play a sacrosanct role in nation-building. I am sure that with the immense potential of the staff and students here, collective efforts may be directed towards building our institution to an even higher repute, having more academic laurels in terms of University Ranks, thus making it a preferred choice of the learners, and thereby contribute to the responsibility of nation-building.”
The Administrator Designate, Dr. Deepti Nayak, assumed the charge of the Office by affixing her signature on the Charge Assumption Report and presented the same to the Correspondent. To symbolically mark her onboarding, the Correspondent presented her with the Office Diary and wished her well. Simultaneously, the Principal presented her with the Keys to the Office of Administrator, along with sweets as a mark of good fortune and best wishes. Subsequently, the Management, the Principal, the IQAC Coordinator, along with the Heads of Academic Programs, and the Student Leaders, accorded a warm welcome to the Administrator by offering floral bouquets.
The ceremony began with the rendition of the College Prayer, performed by the College Prayer Team. Dr. Premalatha V., the Principal, welcomed the august gathering. Mr. Hardik P. Chauhan, the IQAC Coordinator, introduced the key functionaries of the institution. Mrs. Ujwal Mallya S., Public Relations Officer of Canara High School Association, introduced the Administrator, Dr. Deepti Nayak. Mrs. Sandhy B., Head of the Department of Chemistry & B.Sc. Programme, proposed the vote of thanks. Mrs. Dhanashri D. Kulkarni, a faculty member of the Department of Commerce and Management, coordinated the ceremony.
The Governing Council Members, Sri K. Suresh Kamath and Sri M. Naresh Shenoy, graced the occasion. Additionally, both teaching and non-teaching staff members, as well as student leaders, were present during the event.
The programme enabled to express a kind gesture of heartily welcoming the Administrator to the institute. With a deep sense of elatedness, the members of the Canara College Family wished her every success in her new role to have a successful transition while hoping to grow together.
The programme strived to achieve the core values of inculcating value system and quest for excellence amongst all.
