The Centre for PG Studies in Commerce organized ‘Com-Kshetra 2k23: An Inter-class Commerce and Management Fest’ on November 23, 2023. The programme began with prayer, followed by the inauguration of the fest, and then the unveiling of the trophy. The Chief Guest of the Inaugural Programme Mrs.Surekha Bhat, Principal of Canara CBSE and Canara Nandagokul, highlighted the importance of being optimistic and following the 5 C principles, i.e., collaborate, communicate, critical thinking, creativity, and curiosity for a successful career.
There were four events, namely, HR,titled ‘Takshak’ led by Ms. Meghana G. Rao and Ms.Shreenidhi H. Shenoy of II M.Com; Finance, named ‘Nivesha’ led by Ms. Ashwini Hegde and Ms. Sharanya of II M.Com; Marketing, named ‘Nimeya’ led by Ms. Priti Shenoy and Ms. Ganavi of II M.Com; and the event Best Manager, named ‘Prabhandak’ led by Ms. Akshaya Pai B.P. and Ms. Ishwarya Kamath of II M.Com. The events began at 10:15 a.m. Each event had 4 rounds except the best manager, which had 5 rounds, and the last one was the stress interview. There were 14 teams, and 56 students enthusiastically took part in these events, making it a grand success.
The valedictory began at 4:00 p.m. CA Sowmya Kamath M., Partner at M. Jagannath Kamath & CO. was the Chief Guest. She spoke about how useful such fests are in moulding oneself to become a stronger person. The winners were announced for each event, and the Overall Championship was bagged by team ‘Shukla’. The day ended with the national anthem.
