A session on ‘Self Grooming & Resume Building’ for M.Com students organized by the Centre for PG Studies in Commerce was held on November 09, 2023, in the college from 2.00 PM to 4.00 PM.
The self-grooming and resume-building session, led by the resource person Mr. JFM Deepak Raj, Manager, Risk Investigations, Amazon Development Centre, Bangalore, aimed to empower students with essential skills and knowledge to enhance their personal and professional presentation. The resource person commenced the session by emphasizing the importance of self-grooming for personal and professional success.
The session focused on self-improvement, effective communication, and the creation of compelling resumes to succeed in today’s competitive job market.
Practical tips were provided on maintaining good personal hygiene, dressing appropriately for different occasions, and the impact of a positive self-image on confidence and interactions. The session seamlessly transitioned into the resume building segment, where students were educated on the components of a strong resume and provided insights into crafting a compelling professional summary, showcasing relevant skills, and tailoring the resume for specific job applications.
Mr. Adithya Prabhu, student, M.Com Previous, welcomed the gathering. Ms. Harshitha, student, M.Com Previous, proposed the vote of thanks, and the Master of Ceremony of the programme was done by Ms. Pooja, student, M.Com Previous. Altogether, 59 students were present for the session.
