“CANKWIZ 2023”
Commerce and Management Association organized an Inter-Collegiate Level Quiz Competition – “CANKWIZ- 2023” on December 05, 2023. The inauguration of the program initiated with the rendering of prayer by Ms. Shravya Bhaktha and team(III B.Com A) followed by welcoming of the Chief Guest to the programme by Mrs. Usha Nayak, Faculty Conveners, CANKWIZ-20023. Mr. Gopalkrishna Pai, Student convener gave an insight into the competition to the gathering. Later, the customary lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries marked the formal commencement of the programme.
Dr. Vijayalakshmi Nayak, Associate Professor, Institute of Education, Srinivas University, Mangalore, was the Chief Guest and also the inaugurator of CANKWIZ-2023.In the chief address, of Inter -Collegiate Level Quiz Competition expressed, that, participating in quiz competition enhances one’s knowledge, boosts critical thinking skills and promotes quick problem solving among the students. She also added that quiz is a fun way of improving the general knowledge on various topics. She concluded her address by wishing good luck for all the participants.
Dr. Premalatha V., in her presidential address, urged the participants that social media has both positive and negative impact so it is up to the students to use it wisely.

The valedictory of the same began at 3.30pm in the college seminar hall. Rotarian M. Vasanth Mallya, Freelance Journalist and Media and Publicity Consultant was the Chief Guest. Dejamma A., HOD, Commerce and Management, advised the participants that one will realize the value of life when he is hungry. Therefore one should be hungry and he must determine what he is hungry for.
A total of 48 students from 24 different PU and UG colleges participated in CANKWIZ- 2023 and 37 students from Commerce and Management Association took active participation and organized CANKWIZ. Staff Conveners Mrs. Usha Nayak and Mrs. Ashalatha coordinated the entire programme. SDM College of Business Management, Mangalore, Padua College, and St. Aloysius PU College bagged the first prize, second prize and third prize respectively.
