The Centre for PG Studies in Commerce organized the inauguration of Canarize on May 7, 2024 at Smt. Ranta S. Shenoy memorial seminar hall.
Canarize is a simulated company created by Mrs. Swathi Nayak, PG Coordinator, to offer students practical insights into the world of business, fostering essential skills and knowledge. This venture is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world business operations, fostering essential skills such as leadership, financial literacy, and strategic decision-making.
The primary objectives of Canarize include offering students’ hands-on experience in business management. By engaging in market research, product development, financial planning, and marketing, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics and business strategies.
The program began with seeking the blessing of the Almighty. The company was inaugurated by the chief guests, CA M. Jagannath Kamath and Sri K Shivanand Shenoy, along with all the dignitaries. This was followed by the logo launch of Canarize. Ms. Anjana Baliga B, CEO, gave a brief introduction to the company. Various department heads of the company introduced about the working of the Canarize to the audience.
The students were honored to receive the seed money from Sri C A M. Jagannath Kamath, the correspondent of the college as a token of support and encouragement. Alongside this generous contribution, the correspondent’s inspiring words left a lasting impact on all participants. The speech emphasized the significance of creativity and collaboration, and the correspondent’s encouragement reaffirmed the students’ commitment to excellence. The program also involved giving away the first bulk order of 100 Prospera plants, a product of the company, to the president of Canara Engineering College.
The entire team of Canarize was introduced to the audience through the video of the organizational structure. The program concluded with a cultural program.
Ms. Nivedita Pai, the secretary of the company, welcomed the gathering and rendered the vote of thanks. The launch was hosted by Ms. Akshaya Pai B. P. Faculties of various departments of the college and 63 students of the M.com department participated in the program.
