On account of Uttarayana, ,Sanskrit Department lorganized a “Cankritham” a seminar and intercollegiate PU, UG and PG level Competition on the topic “Purana and Ithihasa” on March 22 and 23,2024 in the College Seminar Hall from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM . On Saturday from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Sri Shatavadhani Dr. Ramanath Acharya was the resource person for seminar. He spoke about Veda, Purana, and birth story of Vedavyasa . Mr. Girish Nayak of III B.com B shared the purpose of the program with the gathering. Dr. Premalatha V, Principal of our college and Prof. Anila Principal of Canara Evening College graced the program. Morning there was a various inter-collegiate PU, UG and PG competitions were conducted viz, essay, elocution, analysis of shloka and quize, drama enactment. Cash prizes and certificates were given to the winners. Judges for the competitions were Sri Murari Thantry from Canara High School Urwa, Sri Shreesha from Besent College Mangalore.
Mrs.Chethana Head Department of Sanskrit welcomed the gathering . Mr Girissh Nayak of III B.com B shared the rationale behind conducting the program. Ms. Apeksha Lecturer, Department of Sanskrit proposed vote of thanks. Mr. Shrajan of II B.com B was the Master of Ceremony.
