On October 2, 2024, Rovers and Rangers Association of our college observed Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti with a formal function. Mrs. Savitha DK, convenor of Rovers and Rangers, delivered a keynote speech emphasizing the importance of this day. She highlighted Mahatma Gandhi’s role in India’s independence movement and his legacy. She also spoke about Lal Bahadur Shastri’s contributions, including his iconic ‘Jai Jawan Jai Kisan’ slogan.
Dr. Premalatha V., our college principal, gave a presidential remark, sharing an example of Lal Bahadur Shastri’s simple life. She emphasized the importance of humanity and treating others with respect, even in positions of power.
IQAC coordinators Mrs. Anasuya Bhagwath, Mrs. Prathima V Baliga, and Staff Welfare Secretory Mrs. Seema Prabhu were present. Ms. Karthik N, Rovers convenor, concluded the vote of thanks, and Mrs. Vani US, Assistant Professor of Kannada, was the master of ceremony. The program began with a prayer by Mrs. Laxmi Hegde, Assistant Professor in BBA, and ended with Gandhiji’s favourite song, ‘Vaishnava Janathe’, sung by Mrs. Rakshitha, Assistant Professor in Computer Science and Applications. All teaching and non-teaching staff attended the program.
