The Department of Commerce organized a Seminar on Bridging the AI Skills Gap: Preparing for the Future Workspace on September 27, 2024. Dr. Shwetha Puneet area Head of IT Operations and Analytics and IIC Coordinator at ICFAI Business School was the resource person. In her address to the B. Com Graduates of our college, she highlighted various AI applications available to prospective employees. She said the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) and automation technologies is transforming industries and reshaping the modern workforce. However, this rapid transformation has also introduced a significant skills gap—an imbalance between the demand for AI-related skills and the supply of workers equipped with them. To prepare for the future workspace, it is essential to focus on how individuals, organizations, and educational systems can bridge this gap and ensure that people are ready for the evolving job market.
