The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Canara College, Mangalore organized a seminar on ―Mentoring in Entrepreneurship –Building bridges between theory and practice‖ on May 31, 2024.
Mrs. Preethi Nayak, co-founder of Joos Botal—the first and only manufacturing facility in Mangaluru producing bottled fresh fruit juices without preservatives and artificial colors—shared her entrepreneurial journey and experiences. As a member of the Kanara Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) and Evolve, a women’s entrepreneurship association in Mangaluru, she provided valuable insights into bridging the gap between academic theories and real-world business practices. Her practical advice inspired students to explore their entrepreneurial spirit and enhanced their creativity. The workshop also motivated them to acquire knowledge about startups and entrepreneurship with enthusiasm and ease. Students responded very positively to the session.
The session was well received by the students.65 Students were benefitted from this programme. The session was coordinated by Mrs. Vinoda V Nayak and Mrs. Priyanka, the conveners of the Cell.
