With the motto “Where budding entrepreneurs and future managers meet”, the second meet of CAN BBA Gavel Club was held on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at 3:15PM The theme chosen for this meet was “Turn your obstacles into opportunities”. The presiding officer, Prof. Pushpalatha, Head, Dept. of BBA was the presiding officer declared the Club meet open.
The following were the key roles played by different functionaries for the day – Toastmaster, Pre-prepared Speakers, Pre-prepared Speech Evaluator, Table Topic Master, Table Topic Speakers, Table Topic Speech Evaluator, Grammarian, Ah Counter, Word Master, Message Master, Timer, Overall General Evaluator.
Ms. Latchiya Priya of III BBA,was the Toastmaster for the evening. The Club meet began with invocation. After her words of welcome, she called upon Ms. Suneha of II BBA to introduce the word for the day. Empower was the word introduced and was expected to use throughout the speeches.Ms Poojashree of II BBA gave the message of the day which was related to the theme. Key functionaries were then introduced by the toastmaster.It was then time to hear the Pre-prepared speakers who were ready to present their speeches. Ms. Samiksha, Ms. Shilpa, Mr Sriram, and Mr Uthkarsh Shetty of I BBAwere the pre-prepared speakers for the day.Ms, Manvi Mrinal of II BBA evaluated the Pre-prepared speakers and gave her constructive inputs.
Followed by the pre-prepared speeches were Topic Speeches. Ms. Latchiya Priya the toastmaster introduced table topic master Mr. Vaishno Prasad of III BBA, who then took over and briefed the rules and regulations for the Table Topic session. Mr. Nishanth of I BBA, Ms. VatsalaPatil, Mr. Marvin, Mr. Sathwik and Mr. Rohith of II BBA were the table topic speakers. They were evaluated by the Table Topic Speech Evaluator Mr. Venkat Sacheth of III BBA.
It was then time to sum up the meet where Timer, Ah Counter, Grammarian came up with their summative report and Ms. AnusreeValsarajof III BBA the Overall General Evaluator made her general evaluations and also suggested points for the improvement of upcoming meet.
It was then time for the announcement of accolades for the day and were awarded with a winner certificate, a sash and pinned with a golden star.

- Best Pre-prepared Speaker of the day – Shilpa (I BBA)
- Best Table Topic Speaker of the day – NishanthShetty (I BBA)
- Best Evaluator & Overalls– ManviMrinal (IIBBA)
The evening came to an end with vote of thanks proposed by the toastmaster Ms. LatchiyaPriya and the meet was adjourned. 25 students participated in this activity
